Jesus will arrive to gather his people on the Day of the Lord. In the New Testament, this event is known also as the Day of Christ.

In 2 Thessalonians, Paul refutes claims that the “Day of the Lord” is imminent if not already underway. Contrary to what some voices claim, that day will not come until the “Apostasy” occurs and the “Man of Lawlessness” is unveiled in the House of God. When Jesus does “arrive,” he will gather his elect and destroy this “Lawless One.”

Misdirection and Apostasy

Believers watching for apostasy to occur outside the Church will miss the real thing since it is operating stealthily inside our congregations.

The New Testament warns of coming apostasy and deceivers. This warning is to the Assembly, the Church composed of Christ’s true followers. It is not a message for outside groups, organizations, society, or the government. Satan is determined to destroy the Body of Christ, not the world system that serves his agenda, and he uses his human agents in the Church to deceive as many believers as possible.

Le Nouveau Testament applique les promesses messianiques des Psaumes au règne actuel de Jésus. Il est CHRIST LE ROI!

Depuis sa Mort, sa Résurrection et son Ascension, Jésus a régné en souverain absolu sur la Terre, en fait, sur le Cosmos. Il est assis sur le Trône messianique de David et règne depuis le “Mont Sion” comme promis. En raison de son “obéissance jusqu’à la mort”, Christ est le “Souverain des rois de la Terre”. Avant son Ascension, il a déclaré, “J’ai toute autorité au Ciel et sur Terre.” Sa souveraineté actuelle est illimitée.

Since his Death, Resurrection, and Ascension, Jesus has reigned as absolute sovereign over the Earth, indeed, over the Cosmos. He is seated on the Messianic Throne of David and rules from “Mount Zion” as promised. Because of his “obedience until death,” Christ is the “Ruler of the Kings of the Earth.” Before his Ascension, he declared, “I have all authority in Heaven and on Earth.” His present sovereignty is limitless.

Celui qui ressemble au Fils de l’Homme dans Daniel est la source de l’auto-désignation du Christ comme Fils de l’Homme et de son autorité royale.

Le terme “Fils de l’Homme” est l’auto-désignation que l’on trouve le plus souvent sur les lèvres de Jésus. Il est dérivé de la vision de Daniel de celui “comme un Fils d’Homme” qui a reçu la “domination et le royaume” de “l’Ancien des Jours.” Toutes les tribus de la Terre se lamenteront quand “elles verront le Fils de l’homme venir sur les nuées du Ciel.”
