The second Psalm is a key messianic prophecy applied frequently and consistently to Jesus by the New Testament. But according to its authors, precisely when did he fulfill the predictions from the Psalm? Has the Messiah been installed already on the throne of David or is this prediction still waiting for a future fulfillment? What about the “rage” of the nations against Yahweh’s “anointed one”?
