Having overcome the “beast,” Christians reign as a “kingdom of Priests” now and during the “thousand years.”
According to Revelation, believers are a priestly kingdom, present tense. By his death, Jesus has “loosed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father.” Already, saints that “overcome” qualify to reign with Jesus on his throne, “just as I also overcame and sat down on my Father’s throne.”

Their daily struggles become the microcosm of the vast cosmic battle that is being waged even now between Jesus and the “Dragon.”

In Revelation, disciples reign with Jesus and fulfill their royal role as “priests” who render service in his Tabernacle.
The self-sacrificial death of Jesus is THE foundation of the visions of the book of Revelation. And his death means the installation of overcoming believers to rule as “priests” in his domain. Already, he reigns already over the “kings of the earth,” and the outpouring of his lifeblood has consecrated his followers to become “priests” for his God.

Believers prepare for the “apostasy” and the “man of lawlessness” by “standing firm” in the Apostolic traditions – 2 Thessalonians 2:13-17.
Having presented the information on the “apostasy” and the “man of lawlessness,” Paul provides instructions on how the Thessalonians are to avoid the coming deception, and thereby, find themselves standing “blameless” before Jesus when he “arrives with all his holy ones.” Above all, they must “stand fast” in the teachings received from the Apostle.
